The main source of Gems is through topping up with real-world currency. Topping up will grant a certain quantity of gems to use in game, as well as unlocking different levels of VIP status, granting further benefits.
Gems can also be acquired by completing quests, and through Login, dig(though it is very slim), Daily video, Plot, Battle Royal, Pick Pocketing, Pvp,Warpaths(there is more then one), Roulette, Daily Offering(If your guild is good and has a Relic) or other events.

Gems can be used to purchase certain items at the store, ranging from Gold and Constitution Pills to Chests and Siderite.
Gems can also be used for acquiring high level gear in [[Chance Prizes]. In the Legendary Chance Prize function, 150 Gems will give you a random piece of Orange Gear or Soulstones, and 1425 will give you a batch of 10. Gems will allow you to Get more Chances at a lot of things like Roulette, dig, or other.
